I downloaded the git to my computer and installed Poedit. I found
the nl.po and opened it in Poedit. I see 2 columns and can edit the
strings. I'll start translating. Where do I send the file? To this
mailing list?

experience... Seems like TRANSLATORS.md needs to be updated to
take that into account.

the TRANSLATORS.md is quite daunting. Step 1 is clear but I'm no
programmer and I've never built a program. Step 2 is a big
unknown for me ;-)

to be activated in a release the translation needs to have a
decent coverage - 3.4 got a couple of tooltips so theres a lot
of new stuff to be translated.

so maybe the 3.4.1 bugfix release will support dutch

I've read on the features page

Dutch translation of darktable.
I installed 3.4 on Elementary OS (Flathub) and Windows and
noticed in both OS's that there's no Dutch translation
included.
If needed (when the missing translations aren't a bug), I can
provide some translations.
