"if you try to import pictures always from the same drive / directory, maybe your drive / directory is corrupted or it has a huge number of pictures or it is slow. In that case, I suggest to copy some of the pictures to *another drive (USB or so)* and to try to import from there. If it works then the source of the problem is identified." I copied the folder to a USB and it happens the same. I import the folder but It doesn´t open the pictures. Keep in mind that when darktable "imports" pictures it just adds informations about these pictures into its database, but it doesn't copy the file pictures into another drive/directory. That's why after the test I've suggested you should "remove" the pictures fro darktable's database to avoid getting skulls after you've disconnect the test drive / erased the test directory.
