Further to the tif.xmp problem here is a typical imported tif file along 
with the xmp file generated.

I have selected a file with a small xmp size but some files are really 
enormous and totally flood the system.

I do also notice that small 'chatter' is also being imported as tags 
including file-names, dates a,d miscellaneous number strings. This 
material I can laboriously delete but there is a nuisance factor.

I must admit that none of these problems appear to be as a result of dt 
processed images ... this is from 'foreign' imports only.
