That's expected behaviour. When you change the parameters of a module the 
image has to be reprocessed to be shown, which include the denoising, too. It 
might get cached when you fiddle with a module that comes after denoising in 
the pipeline, but in general you can expect it to be slow.

You can see the order of the plugins by clicking on the module group icon 
under the histogram that is currently active. That will show you _all_ modules 
(that are not hidden from within the "more modules" thing at the bottom). The 
order your image data gets processed in is bottom-to-top through the modules.
