Yes, the code to read those files exists at various places in various 
applications (not sure how good the quality is but that's for another 
discussion). The problem is that darktable has quite a few modules which 
operate directly on the non-demosaiced data and these assume that they see 
bayer patterned images. Adding a bunch of new pixel formats would require us 
to keep track of these in every module that comes before demosaicing in our 
pipe.

There are plans to have a developer meeting sometimes in the not too distant 
future and it might be possible to come up with an idea how to handle these 
images there. This is however neither a promise that we will come up with 
anything nor that we will even try.

TL;DR: There is code but it doesn't help darktable.
