Wow...that wasn't intuitive to me even a little bit. The circles are red and go to bold red when hovering the cursor over 'em regardless of any handle click. It's only when I start moving the lines that I realize whether symmetry is "on" or "off." It would be nice if the circles were a gray or something when symmetry off and red when symmetry on. Wouldn't that provide a nice visual clue?

HaHa...though I programmed computers for most of my adult life, it was far from "rocket science!" :) Calculus not being one of my stronger subjects!!

Alan

I'm sorry, but I think I may have stumbled on another issue...

In Crop and Rotate, when I set keystone to vertical I get two lines on the
preview. Alright, that seems normal. However, there is a small handle in the
middle of each line which looks like I could grab it and move the line for
coarse positioning. Nope...doesn't budge. Additionally, the manual says that
each line carries a symmetry button and, if activated... Mine is activated
by default which makes it impossible to properly position the vertical
lines. How does one activate/deactivate the symmetry button? Should it be on
by default? Should I be able to move the lines via the handle? Or, is this a
Mac/GTK3 issue, too?

The "handle" is the key. Mouse clicking on it assigns the symmetry action
and another click (on the "handle") removes the symmetry action.

Next is "rocket science" :)
