Hi Tanja, I have posted this to the list as well so that other readers can follow the discussion.
The reason behind the older version of the library on your installation is because you a running latest LTS version from Ubuntu while I am running Debian Unstable which means the version of my libraries are the latest versions that are not considered experimental. But since you have the library installed this is not the reason for your problem.
