The latest DNG spec (and files produced by Lightroom, apparently), allow 
lossless compression. I haven't (yet) found any reasonably precise info on how 
that compression works. But in any case, it's one of the options. And that's 
what Chris Cunnington used for the example he gave us.

But in your case, if it's a camera format, it should be the full raw data in a 
different carrier package. I can't imagine a camera maker who wants to be taken 
serious doing anything else...
 Trying a few in the PEF format and comparing the sizes will give you an idea; 
if sizes are comparable, you should have the full raw.
