To get newly added lens corrections it suffices to update just the lensfun database. It can be done by running `lensfun-update-data` utility (part of liblensfun-bin package). This will bring in corrections for your 200-500mm Nikkor. As for the latest lensfun compiled from source, you may find that darktable is complaining about lensfun database version (if you start darktable from command line, for example). -- Šarūnas Burdulis math.dartmouth.edu/~sarunas
