Hi Bernhard,

all command line tools are working on the Mac as well. They can be found within 
the directory structure of the darktable app. The example shows the command 
line to regenerate the cache.

/Applications/darktable.app/Contents/MacOS/darktable-generate-cache --max-mip 4
