I must modify my previous comment. The metadata preferences (settings)
do include an entry for elevation (third from the bottom). You might
want to note whether that has been checked.

Hi,
while converting from nef to jpg using
darktable-cli file.nef xmp-file file.jpg
the exif tag GPSAltitude is lost. There are more differences in the
exif tags between the jpg and nef file. See attached pdf.
I seems to me the missing GPSAltitude and the double
DateTimeOriginal are bugs. Other differences can be correct. Could
someone with more experience than I have maybe take a look at it?
The missing GPSAltitude is a bit annoying.
Hello,
Maybe I am wrong, but if I remember correctly this can be set using a
menu in the export module.
There you can set what data you whish to export together with you
images.
