In the list of additional features of the new DT version was mentioned:

- Some cameras record lens correction information within the image
EXIF metadata. The lens correction module has been enhanced so that
it can extract this data and use it to correct lens distortions.

This was the topic of my question. Or to be more precise: For which
camera models is the extraction of lens correction information supported?

iiuc, those cameras which provide that information. does your's? if so,
try the newly released dt or master build and see if it works for you.

otherwise one would need to definitively know which cameras provide that
info and that they are supported in that manner. I really doubt that
anyone knows for sure *all* of the camera models that provide that info.

You again missed the point. The question is not which cameras provide
this information (most contemporary MILC with original lenses). The
question is, for which cameras DT can decode and use the information.

I have tried to look into the source, but i am lost and could not find
where the information is extracted/decoded from the RAW-file EXIF data
to get a guess for which cameras the RAW-file EXIF lens-distortion data
are supported.
