That looks very interesting, but I'm afraid I can't make head or tail of
it without further study.  First of all I'm not sure what 
Darktable 1.1RC  is.  In any case, I was trying to use the create HDR
function in the regular darktable, and I wanted to know what had
happened.

Is that not possible.  If so, why is it there?

Can anyone direct me to an explanation which starts with regular
darktable?
