I have a newly installed Ubunty 12.10 system with a newly installed copy of
Darktable. I tried importing a library of images (45k in number) and after
a minute or two, Darktable crashed, wouldn't restart, and (somehow) made my
file system read only.
I did a hard restart of my machine (it hung when attempting to soft
restart) and deleted ~/.config/darktable and ~/cache/darktable. However, I
am hesitant to try the import again.
Anyone have a theory on what went wrong? Was I trying to import too much at
once?
