I have experienced no issues with exporting CR2 files. Using 5DM2 CR2 format on Fedora 17 and 18, using DT 1.1.4, 1.2.1, and 1.3 (dev)
No issues with your test file. Exported CR2 to jpg just fine (using Fedora 17 & DT 1.2.1) Cheers.
