If the lens profile does not contain CA correction information, it does
not work automatically, but only manually using the sliders there. There
is some status text line telling you which corrections are applied.

It does not affect the quality if it works fine, but for some images, it
guesses wrong CA correction parameters, which causes some CAs to remain
or to be (strongly) overcorrected.
Since one of my lenses is pretty CA prone, i find myself to enable the
CA module quite often. But i need to check the final exported images
always for the correction results. If it works, it works, but ...
