Dear all,

first of all I would like to thank the darktable development team
'cause you are building my favorite opensource software.
Then here is my question: I would like to apply selective color to a
photo. e.g. I have a red flower over a green background and I would
like to have a b/w photo with red flower.
Here is my workflow: I choose monochrome plugin, then I choose blend
mode "normal" and blend only if...depending on the colors on the photo
I choose channels "a", "b" or "h" to filter out colors...

With this workflow, in few minutes I have the results: the quality of
the result depends on the photo (e.g. with a red flower over green
background it's easy).

Knowing that there a lot of way of achieving the same result I would
like to know if there are better way for doing selective colorization
maybe performing better with more complex and colored pictures

thanks
Paolo
