I've just acquired a Canon 7D and Darktable detects it, but when I click the import button DT freezes up. There is no output when starting from the console to give a clue what the problem is.
I can manually list/download files with gphoto2. I did find some old bug reports that suggest a kernel bug, but I'm running 3.10.11 and the bugs were from the 2.6 era.
