Yes it is possible when you set it as default. I have set such
defaults so that when a new image is imported these defaults are applied.
Choose output color profile
1. Make your preferred settings and then click presets button and choose edit
this preset
2. Give a name to your preset in the top field
3. Give a description to this preset in the bottom field
4. Tick the box auto apply
>From now on this will be the default output color profile as long as there is
no history stack, meaning either the image has been new imported or the
history stack is discarded.
For those that are prebuilt like sharpen or basecurve then use the following
approach
1. Turn off the sharpen module
2. follow the above steps beginning with 2 onwards
If you follow these steps it should work as long as there is no history, as
removing just the xmp is not enough since darktable holds many information in
the database.
