not sure how exactly that will translate to macintosh, but on linux i copy
/usr/share/darktable/darktable.gtkrc into my ~/.config/darktable/ folder
and set the font_name = "Sans 8" to something i like better (make it larger
in my case for high res monitors). you might want to try and customize that
to a smaller font? module widgets will be scaled accordingly (sliders and
such).
