openSUSE Tumbleweed
darktable-1.5.505_g6b0b8f9

This mornings update to darktable-1.5.505_g6b0b8f9 apparently sets
"deflicker" to on.

Working on a group of photos previously imported with existing xmp
sidecars, deflicker is set to on and exposure is set to +9.97ev.
Thumbnails still appear *normal* until displaying the image in darkroom.

Resetting exposure by double-click on histogram or on exposure module
exposure slider unsets *deflicker* and returns the photo to the expected
display.

Have not tried importing a new group to determine if same exists.

Is a bug report necessary or condition already known/corrected/?

Or, has the format of the xmp/sidecar files changed and they are
correcting themselves?

tks,
