I have an off-topic question to which some of you might have an answer. If 
this inappropriate, please let me know.

I read the other day about FoCal[1], which is a software for calibrating the 
AV-point of lenses, or to be more precise, to adjust the Mirco-AF parameter 
(or whatever it is called for different camera brands) in the camera body. 
This is also known as camera calibration.

So here are the questions:

1) Do you bother with camera/lens calibration?
2) Is there a tool I can run on Linux for the task? (I am on Canon, but this 
might be interesting for others and hence other brands also.)
