I am still working from Dan Torop's material and building away from the normal
location:
*****************
git clone https://github.com/dtorop/darktable.git dt-xtrans
cd dt-xtrans
git checkout xtrans2-dev
./build.sh
cd "./build"; sudo make install
*************
This runs just fine
