It's ok for me. I was just wondering. 
Since you gave us masks and multiple instances the 'real' graduated density 
filter could be emulated by exposure. And maybe the slightly different 
behaviour 
has it's own use, too.

I agree. If it's not a newly introduced bug you should probably leave it as it 
is.
