For 1.4 that is totally normal and expected behaviour.
In 1.6, there is a new feature, that will cause Lens IOP to behave
as you have expected it to behave - to adapt lens correction parameters to
the current image.
It is available in git master: Lens IOP: add autodetection

How to use: just do everything as usual, but do not change *ANYTHING* in
Lens IOP from it's default autodetected values and it will just work.
