I have the same card and while I agree with you that it theoretically should work in Linux, I have not succeeded. I tested with both DP and DVI interfaces on DELL U2713H. Based on info provided by Kai-Uwe Behrmann, Krita (and probably no other regular app) should be able to display images with 30-bit depth (Settings / Configure Krita / Display: Enable OpenGL), it works for him with nVidia Quadro. Just get some tone ramp image in 16bit per channel depth and compare its view in regular viewer (Firefox, Geeqie, GIMP, whatever) and Krita.
