Pedro, I am sorry if I posted a useless bug.
I must have confused with Adobe Lightroom, where images are indeed displayed the way they should. I have checked my Lightroom folder to see if there were some vertical images not rotated, but couldn't find one. It's a mistery why LR can tell a vertical one and DT not, however your explanation is final.
