Hi,

I'm experimenting with the new "reconstruct color" mode for the
"highlight recovery" module. On some pictures, it creates strange
artefacts outside the overexposed parts.

See for example this image:

http://www-verimag.imag.fr/~moy/tmp/highlight/reconstruct-color.png

The bottom uses the default highlight reconstruction, and the top uses
the "reconstruct color". The whole image has -2 exposure.

On the top left, the gradient of light blue is turned into a uniform
dark blue, so it actually lost details outside the highlight area. Then,
there are kinds of horizontal hatching and weird vertical lines.

The DNG and .xmp files are here:

  http://www-verimag.imag.fr/~moy/tmp/highlight/DSC_3749.dng.xmp
  http://www-verimag.imag.fr/~moy/tmp/highlight/DSC_3749.dng

Surprisingly, the exported JPEG has less artefacts than the on-screen
version:

Any idea what's going on? Shall I turn this mail into a bug report?

Thanks,
