1) I am trying to get detailed information about the metadata management of darktable. the user manual gives no information at all. This is critically important if one wishes to interact with image collection management software, e.g. digikam. Where can one obtain this information?
In addition I have some specific questions: 2) It looks like the metadata are stored as IPTC attributes. Is there any interaction between EXIF and IPTC attributes, e.g. title or image topic that is common between these two systems? 3) When developed raw images are exported, how much of the metadata is stored within the exported image? How much as a sidecar file? 4) What is the preferred way of saving text information about the place (i.e. place names) where a photo was taken? 5) I am prepared to generate some text for inclusion in the user manual so that other users have direct access to this information. Would this be useful at all?
