I've looked at both screenshots and also downloaded the CR2 and opened it in darktable. All files look like they have identical reds to my eye (on a calibrated monitor). In darktable, only the darkroom is colour managed, the lighttable is not (and it also shows the embedded JPG preview until you make a change to the file, at which point it will display a preview based off the raw plus edits). As you are seeing incorrect colours in the darkroom, I'd say the problem is with your system's colour management. It may be that your system is getting an EDID from your monitor that's incorrect or just so out of date that it no longer matches your monitor. Have a read of this: https://encrypted.pcode.nl/blog/2013/04/14/display-profiles-generated-from-edid/ and try to disable the EDID using the instructions in the last paragraph.
