My 6-core i9, openSUSE linux, darktable-1.7.0.1434033150.e78a048, takes >3 seconds on some images, 6000x4000 raw and 36GB system memory. I have no idea what jpgs would entail but most likely faster. I would say you were wasting Dt's abilities on jpg's, but that's just my opinion. [...] > So the question is what's wrong with that base buffer and how make switch > between images faster? More cores, SSD drives, faster video with more memory, .... There always exists a quest for more horse-power and related speed. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Darktable-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/darktable-users
