Absolutely, darktable is great. I use "rapid photo downloader" to get photos and videos from my canon 1 dx separated to the correct folders. Then import my raws into Darktable to edit. I then use Darktable to manage my raw folder collections, moving, deleting, rating, applying colour labels and key wording. I keep these raw collections so I always have the original if I want to change the edit. I can easily find any image through the powerful search features of Darktable. I then do a batch jpeg conversion of an entire folder with a reduced 2000 px resolution which I can then use for the web, email or making photo slideshows with ffdiaporama or presentations with libre office impress. If I want to print I output to 8 bit tiffs and resize, clone (if required) and sharpen in gimp. This workflow suits the way I work perfectly. Regards Phil Evans.
