Hi this is a similar post to one I put on the main list last week
I am having problems installing the BDE using Wise 5.0.
Problem is that I want to install to drive D: rather than C: (the
default). During the intallation process I alter the destination
directory to D:\Program Files in 2 places.
What happens, though, is that while most files are copied to the D:
drive, the following files end up in C:\Program
Files\Borland\CommonFiles\BDE:
Ceeurope.bll
Charset.bll
Europe.bll
Fareast.bll
Idapi32.cfg
Japan.bll
Other.bll
Usa.bll
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong when setting up the Wise
installation. If the setup wizard can't properly handle that situation,
where and to what do I edit the script?
Failing that - is there a way that I can move the files to the D: drive
installation directory and do some edits to the Registry? If so I would
need some pretty clear instructions.
This has become pretty critical for me because I suspect that the same
situation is the root cause of a problem at one of my sites, which I
need to get fixed pretty smartly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
