It traverses the entire object graph (of loaded objects).  It doesn't
stop when it reaches a clean object, as that clean object could have
dirty children or parents.

An earlier posting by you says you're on 0.10.2.  It's entirely
possible the error you're seeing is fixed on 1.0.1.
