Embedded Value kind of got pushed to the back burner for a while and hasn't been picked up by anyone. I know Piotr (solnic) has expressed interest in EV since he needs it to make his dm-mongo-adapter plugin more usable -- they'd map onto mongodb embedded documents. As far as I know the API proposed in the gist earlier in this thread is still current, the idea being that an embedded value have the same configuration DSL as a DM Model.
