Hello all, OpenCity.in invites you to a design jam in *Bengaluru* on "BBMP Bye-laws".
*About the event:* At the design jam, participants are expected to collaborate to analyse and interpret different aspects of BBMP’s construction bye-laws and build visualisations for people to understand what these bye-laws mean and also understand the purpose of different bye-laws. You can refer here to the 2003 bye-laws <https://data.opencity.in/dataset/bbmp-building-bye-laws-2003> and 2015 update on zoning regulations <https://data.opencity.in/dataset/bda-revised-master-plan-2015/resource/bda-zoning-regulations-of-revised-master-plan-2015> . When: July 6th 2024, Saturday. 10 Am – 5 PM. Where: It is a physical event. Location: 63, Abshot Layout, Palace Road, Vasantha Nagar, Bengaluru – 560052 Exact location and details will be provided on registering. Who can participate: Urban planners, architects, designers and those interested in visual design are welcome. The idea is for people with these different skillsets to come together and bring out outputs that could be in the form of posters or videos to help people understand BBMP bye-laws better. *Expectations from Participants:* Use the BBMP bye-laws to design visualisations that can show what these bye-laws mean – both in terms of what kinds of constructions are legally allowed, and what is not.
