Hi everyone, I've come to realise we've neglected communicating on this mailing list. I'll work with our community manager Rai to change that. Lots of things in the works, and we definitely could leverage the smart people on this list.
You might be interested to see some guest posts we got on the major tech blogs lately. Latest was on Mashable which gives a high level overview of everything we stand for: http://mashable.com/2010/08/12/data-portability/ We also got some posts up on TechCrunch in June. http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/23/data-portability-policy/ http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/05/privacy-failures-facebook-dna/ We are looking to do more. We would love to get people involve in a new blogging campaign we're kicking off to get more awareness in the industry. Ping me if you're interested. Separately, the Portabiity Policy is now going to be an organisational focus. We are splitting off some separate workstream such as improving the core product and questions, creating badges and icons, making a machine readable implementation, and reaching out to get the policy adopted. If you're interested in contributing, please ping me.
