He/She will be responsible to construct and implement the technical design for the BD/IAS applications. This designing an application framework for both UI and server. The Architect is also responsible for ascertaining system volume and analyzing traffic patterns. Platforms: Must be proficient in UNIX, XP/Vista and LINUX. Technologies: AJAX, XHTML, CSS Content syndication and aggregation scenarios and technologies such as RSS and ATOM Data interconnectivity with web service APIs either via SOAP, REST, and/or POX for rich and loosely coupled functionality Web2.0 and RIA Technology: JavaScript and Action Scripts, Flex Java/J2EE SOA Web logic Messaging Database Systems: Must be familiar with Oracle and/or Sybase. Skills: Experience in building Frameworks Understanding of web browser design and W3C standards compliance/adoption The concepts surrounding 'mashups' in terms of application composition would be a particular focus of a Web Architect analogous to composite application designs and the associated patterns. Session and state management caching design, security and identity, user experience patterns and practices, performance and scalability considerations, service-oriented architecture, peer-to-peer architecture and design Business Knowledge: Financial services industry is a plus. Project Experience: Must have at least 8-10 years of experience with at least 3 years as an architect. Very good interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and lead team. Communication/General Skills: Must have excellent oral and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level. An Enquiring Mind: The ability to abstract general principles from specifics. A strong desire to establish Standards of Best Practice.
