* Role/Title : UI Developer Location : San Francisco, CA. Duration : 6-12 Month plus Contract *Job Description:* Minimum 8 years experience in technical environment. Minimum 4 years leadership experience. Must have participated in full product development lifecycles of software products (whiteboard to production) and successfully brought documentation deliverables to market. Ability to train and mentor IDD team members on new and emerging communication techniques and technologies. Understand the customer perspective and be in sync with customer issues and product implementation. Problem-solver, self-starter requiring minimal oversight, demonstrates consistent involvement with flexibility and good follow-through skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional initiative and drive. *Job function:* Experienced Creative User Interface developer open to work with a large local and remote team developing large Rich Client Applications. *Responsibilities:* To participate in the development and the delivery of quality User Interface of large enterprise applications Provide input and feedback to the Product management, Development management and QA Management Own and Develop advanced UI features, automate tests, review peer code. Assist the Customer Support team to resolve Customer issues (3rd level support). Experience with major OO programming languages required (Flex 3 and JDK1.5 or 6) (Experience with Swing desirable) Knowledge of XML Knowledge of Development tools such as Source control tools as well as IDEs Some knowledge of Design patterns and Knowledge of coding standards Knowledge/Experience of GUI/Rich client applications development with Flex. Good understanding of MVC (model-view-controller) architecture. Good knowledge of Event Handlings. Basic knowledge of client/server communications and understanding of TCP/IP & HTTP Exposure to developing J2EE compliant applications using Tomcat or any other application server. Knowledge of build tools (Ant) Test tools (unit testing and automated UI testing) Usability: Sensitive to the “User experience” to develop efficient client applications. Knowledge of several major Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows xyz, Sun Solaris, Linux) as development and deployment environments. Able to take ownership of significant product features. Good communication skills Open and flexible to work with various teams all around the world.
