*SQL Developer 12-18 months Contract Stevens Point, WI * *REQUIRED SKILLS:* Client is in need of a Sr. SQL consultant to assist in performance tuning efforts by tuning large batches. This individual does not need to be a certified DBA, but should have over 7-10 years of experience with the ability to run SQL traces and utilize PerformanceMonitoring. We are looking for someone who as experience with the usage of SCANs v SEEKS and for example, any experience with Indexed Views would signal the appropriate level of expertise. Experience generating TRACES in SQL Profiler is very helpful. The candidate will need be highly qualified in reading execution plans (produced by Management Studio/Query analyzer). The resource would need exposure to SQL Server, a good understanding of how SQL Server works internally and have exposure to projects with large data reads/writes via T-SQL. Specific experience with SQL Server 2008, SSIS (integration services) is a nice to have. Create concise and clear design documentation.
