Job Title : ETL Programmer with SSIS
Location : Wilmington, DE.
Duration : 6-12 months
Rate : $42/hr on C2C MAX
Duties and Responsibilities
?Effectively and professionally communicate with the Corporate Actuarial
Department to identify and obtain requirements for improved valuation
processing.
?Work closely with the Database Administration staff to assist in designing
and developing appropriate relational database structures and processes.
?Design and create new SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS) packages in
support of new Valuation creation process.
?Work closely with existing MIS IT staff and Actuarial Support staff to
build new processes for ?Fast close? tasks.
?Maintain a user-focused approach to application development and reporting
solutions.
?Must be able to read existing SAS programs and assist with optimizing the
code for peak performance.
?Identify tasks required to complete an assignment and estimate the duration
of those tasks for accurate project plan reporting.
?Produce technical specifications and test plans/test scripts.
?Recommend solutions to design, plan and implement applications.
?Communicate with all levels of internal and external technical and
non-technical staff.
?Prepare project life cycle deliverables within expected time frame as
specified by the project plan.
Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required
?A high level of knowledge and experience with Extract, Transformation and
load techniques and tools.
?Strong formal training in Relational Database Design and Normalization.
?Strong Sql Server SSIS experience or other ETL tools.
?A high level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Sql Server
2005/2008, T-Sql, Stored Procedures/Triggers.
?Extensive experience with VB6 and VBA.
?Extensive experience with Web applications, ASP, HTML, and Javascript.
?Experienced in full software development life cycle planning, requirements
analysis, architecture, and programming.
?Experience with SAS programming.
?A high level of knowledge of the insurance and/or financial business.
?Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and
possess the capability of producing professional-looking
documentation,flowcharts, and proposals.
?Microsoft Certified Professional in Sql Server database design and
implementation is preferred.
?Minimum 7 years in IT/MIS with a minimum of 5 years of database design and
implementation will be accepted
