Urgent Need of *DOCSIS Automation Engineer* for the Client in Downingtown, PA.
DOCSIS Automation Engineer Location: Downingtown, PA. Duration: 6-12 months A QA DOCSIS automation engineer is responsible for the creation, modification, setup and execution of the DOCSIS test plan. A significant part of the test setup will be coordinating with device vendors to ensure the hardware and software match the requirements of Network Engineering and Product Engineering. In addition, the tester will be responsible to ensure testing completes within the allocated timeframe, barring hardware/software issues and reporting results upon completion. *Required Skills and Abilities:* Experience with object oriented programming or scripting such as: Tcl/Tk, Java, BASH Ixia IxAutomate or equivalent testing suite Solution level testing in a complex, multi-system integration environment Understanding of analog and digital video signals as it applies to cable plant IP networking experience Strong understanding of DHCP/DNS Basic understanding of Data Center Management, and Data Center etiquette CISCO BACC Complex (RDU, DPE, DHCP, DNS) Progressive DOCSIS experience preferably beginning with DOCSIS 1.0 Ameritec Fortissimo or equivalent bulk call generation system Voice over IP experience a Plus 3-5 years directly related engineering experience College Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant work experience Certifications as required.
