need for a Business Objects Developer here in downtown Milwaukee. This is a need that requires someone that is local (or within 1-2hrs- Madison, Chicago), the client *will not *consider candidates out of this range. Responsibilities / Basic Function: Provide technical knowledge/consultation on Business Object functionality to BO Upgrade team members and IS/Business clients. -Assist in planning and execution of BO upgrade to XI 3.x and conversion from deski to webi -Develop work-plan and Statement of Work documents -Create Applied Architecture Process Deliverables per AAP process -Consult on broad pieces of functionality of BOE (e.g. Interactive Mode, Deski vs. Webi vs. Webi Rich Client (WRC), Publisher (report bursting)) -Assist in assessment of Bo client teams environments and needs related to reports identification rationalization, and upgrade and conversion -Provide defects resolution and consult on work arounds In addition, -Analyze and document problems and provide resolutions -Identify and assess issues and risks, develop mitigation techniques -Identify and suggest design solutions if required functionality cannot be attained in BO 3.1. (E.g. Deski VBA macros not supported in Webi) -Escalate issues and concerns -Assist in managing work breakdown structure -Provide input/create deliverables according to SA&E -Assist in communication of project status/issues/plans Skills / Qualifications: Business Objects expertise required.
