Pay rate - $500/day max on C2C Location –NY Duration -6 months to Extn Role overview: • This is an exciting opportunity for a high energy “do-it-all” individual to join a team of trading systems and data warehouse developers. Primary responsibility will be the development and maintenance of Repo IT's rapidly evolving Data Warehouse and Management Reporting application. Key Deliverables: Business Objects Developer / Analyst that combines technical expertise with proven understanding of financial systems to produce a reporting solution for the Repo IT team. The candidate will partner with a central team responsible for Business objects to architect and create a framework for reporting, dashboards, delivery(distribution), scheduling and retention policy for reports for the Repo IT team. - Develop, test and maintain interfaces between Repo IT’s applications and other entities. - Work with business analysts to understand user requirements - Support the Quality Assurance team in the management and remediation of software defects - Adhere to software development standards, procedures and techniques - Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, quality assurance and other team members - Ability to participate and represent the development function in the development and project lifecycles - Gain understanding of client”s Repo business - Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally - The candidate will be exposed to the complete software development lifecycle and will be expected to work with business analysts and from functional specifications to implement the solution and oversee deployment. - Global scope of Repo’s applications and the Repo IT team requires occasional night and weekend work. Qualifications/competencies: Required Proven track record (over 5 years) in the creation and maintenance of Business Objects Universe. Development experience in BO XI R2 and products like Universe Designer, WebiXIr2, Xcelsius is required. Proven track record with Business objects API's and integration experience with platforms developed in C++/Java/.NET. Strong experience with creating Business Objects reports including experience with scheduling, delivery and retention policy for these reports Proven track record in dealing with medium - large data warehouses. Initial estimate for Data warehouse is about 500G - 1 TB. Candidate will be expected to partner and influence the Data architect/ Data warehouse modeler to ensure performance throughput and other systemic requirements. Experience in financial products/systems/ Investment Banking is expected. The reporting framework will require to meet audit, legal and compliance and banking requirements. Experience in Information management (including segregation of views, entitlements) expected. Strong proficiency in SQL on Oracle 10G is required. Sybase exposure is a strong plus. Good verbal and written communication skills. Interaction with Business users and Senior IT counterparts (globally) is expected. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment is essential. Candidate must have attention to detail; have the ability to work independently and also as part of a group; have a willingness to learn new skills and do whatever is necessary to "get the job done". Suitable candidates will be results-oriented, goal-driven self-starters. Demonstrates professional development. B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline Good to have (Strong plus) Understanding of Repo business and relevant IT experience Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica preferably) Exposure to data warehouse modeling /development.
