ID: Req-0204 - Mainframe Programmer / Systems Programmer Description: Position 1: A.4 System Programmer - Mainframe Products The System Programmer has a minimum of 5 - 10 years experience managing the configuration and maintenance of mainframe products along with the associated vendor tools and utilities to support the environment. The products include; mainframe programming languages, tools/utilities, performance monitoring products. Responsibilities: . Plan configuration changes and product upgrades . Maintain optimal performance of the software products . Install product upgrades for existing and new software products . Install emergency corrections . Perform problem determination and resolution as needed with application support and the Data Center operations . Respond to inquiries and assist with problem determination and resolution . Train and direct junior associates Position 2: Onsite Coordinator /Sr. System Programmer - Operating System The Sr. System Programmer has 10+ years experience managing the mainframe hardware configuration and installing, customizing, maintaining the operating system. The experience includes IBM mainframe operating system products: ISPF, TSO, JCL, SDSF. DFSMS, SMF, z/OS/MVS and JES2. Responsibilities: . Plan configuration changes and upgrades . Maintain optimal performance of the mainframe environment . Install operating product upgrades for existing and new software products . Maintenance installation of IBM PTF's and APAR's . Install emergency PTF's/APAR's . Provide on-site coverage for the monthly IPL's and emergency IPL's . Respond to inquiries and assist with problem determination and resolution . Train and direct junior associates NOTE - Please do not mistake them for application programmers. They are system programmer requirements. They need to be Indian candidates. They will be in the US for 6 months, and will continue in Chennai for 4 months, and return back to US(Northbrook, IL ).
