*Job Title : SAP POS Location : Bolingbrook, IL Duration : 9 Months* *Description : * *GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE * The Lead SAP POS Specialist will be an experienced technical professional responsible for the analysis, design and configuration/development of SAP Point-of-Sale solutions. This role is a top-level, hands-on contributor and subject matter expert on Retail Point-of-Sale applications. *PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * ** Responsible for the analysis, design and configuration/development of SAP Point-of-Sale solutions. Interface with internal business partners to identify needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Perform detail-level solution design. Perform hands-on configuration/development of POS-related changes. Act as IT subject matter expert on Retail POS best practices; provide technical and best-practice guidance to team members. Apply knowledge of business and technology to identify opportunities for process improvements. Participate in creating long-term POS solution roadmap. Act as Project Manager on initiatives, as needed *SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS * ** 8+ years of business application design/development experience. 5+ years Retail POS configuration or development experience. Experience with SAP POS (formerly Triversity Transactionware General Merchandise). Extensive hands-on knowledge of Configurator and user-exit extensions. Experience interfacing with SAP IS-Retail (preferred). Ability to propose and evaluate technical solution alternatives, assessing the pros and cons of each approach. Knowledgeable of industry trends and best practices related to Retail POS systems. Exposure to one or more formal software development methodologies. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Able to effectively convey complicated technical information to diverse audiences. Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities. Must be a self-starter that is results-driven. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent. *WORKING CONDITIONS * ** Normal office demands After hours support, as needed *REQUIREMENT: *POS (Point of Sale) & Sales Audit expert *SKILLS: * -SAP Traversity POS & Transnet -POSDM -ETL -SQLServer -.NET -Middleware technologies -Communications experience moving data from stores to corporate -Functional experience -Cash Management -Sales Audit -Inventory -Different POS experiences • Must have the ability to work independently; analyze different solutions; recommend solutions.
