*Business Intelligence Data Modeler/ Analyst Phoenix,AZ Duration : 6 Months Contract* *Business Intelligence Data Modeler/ Analyst* The Business Intelligence Data Modeler is involved in all aspects of creating and maintaining Logical and Physical Dimensional data models for a 100+TB Multi-Tier Data Warehouse. Must be experienced in analyzing associated business rules / process models, analyzing legacy logical and physical data models, and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts in the Financial Industry. *Key Areas of Responsibility* Creation and maintenance of the logical and physical data model of Enterprise-Scale Data Warehouse and the metadata required to support the model in accordance with defined modeling standards. Definition of best practices and standards in the EDW's data modeling process. Participate in projects to support development staff in their implementation of the model. Integrate newly sourced data into a common EDW data model. Optimization of Dimensional structures / Facts / Dimensions / Aggregations *Basic Requirements* 5+ years proven success as a Dimensional data modeler for a data warehouse within a multi-terabyte DW environment - in the Financial Industry 5+ years experience with data integration and BI/reporting tools 3-5 years with hands on SQL, ETL tools, data staging techniques, metadata tools (specifically ER/Studio), and data base designs Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver Ability to deal with long term goals along with immediate project concerns Strong communication skills and ability to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical audience. BA/BS/BBA degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Experience with MicroStrategy a plus *Preferred Requirements* 3-5 years experience in SQL Server IQ / column-based database 3-5 years experience with SAS Analytics Knowledge in a wide range of data subjects ranging from corporate finance to sales and marketing to customer service.
