Even better would be to implement a custom
red-black tree that natively worked with the kind of weird values that are
fed into (complex data structures as opposed to scalars).
Does this remove the dependany on Tree::RedBlack? If so, then Dave++
The less dependancies the better IMHO.
Once code is written, I'm willing to look at porting the XS to MacOS 9.x.
MacOS-X is BSD based so should compile on its own.
