Actually, the FAQ is much more complicated. For the other docs I've just been doing perl -MPod::Simple::HTML -e \ "Pod::Simple::HTML->filter(shift)" \ <pod file> and then hand-editing the generated HTML to remove the parts that are provided by the site's autohandler.
