Hi all,

I am working on TMS320DM644x processor.
I have compiled the kernel (linux-2.6.10 MVL401) with necessary patch for MMC-SD.
SD card gets detected from kernel's driver properly.
But I want to know the memory capacity of MMC-SD card from an ARM application in linux. Does any one know how to detect capacity of SD card from application ? Is there any register or ioctl for that ?

Also, SD card is of 512 MB.But from kernel it detects 495488 KiB. Should it not be 512 MB = 524288 KB ? I suppose that memory of SD card is divided into two parts : protected memory & general purpose memory.
So is 495488 KiB the general purpose memory ?
How to detect the amount of memory I can use for storage purpose ?

Thanks in advance,
Sweta
